Tafsir of Surah Luqman

Surah Luqman (31) highlights the wisdom of Luqman and the essential principles of faith and righteous living. It calls people to recognise Allah’s signs, establish prayer, show gratitude, and remain humble. Luqman’s advice to his son emphasises worshipping Allah alone, honouring parents, being conscious that Allah knows even the smallest deed, maintaining prayer, encouraging good and preventing evil, and avoiding arrogance. The surah concludes by reminding us that only Allah possesses complete knowledge of the unseen and that every person will ultimately return to Him.
