“If beginnings make you desirous, endings will make you abstinent: if their exteriors invited you, their interiors will hold you back”.

The above aphorism highlights the facade nature of the dunya, and the downfall of the one excited with its glamour and lush but failing to contemplate its ultimate end. A holistic discussion in which the speaker emphasises the mindset is not to abandon the dunya per se, rather how to navigate through it and utilise its benefits in a functional manner.
